Ubuntu 15th Birthday Gala Dinner

BRIEF UBUNTU
WHY Charity Gala Dinner & Auction
WHERE The Roundhouse Camden
WHO Friends & Patrons of Ubuntu
WHAT WE DID  Wonderland transformed the Roundhouse into a South African and Ubuntu experience to remember. Guests were greeted on entrance by traditional a cappella group Simply Soweto, with a mix of traditional and modern songs. Upon registration guests were treated to cocktails and canapés under a safari style draping and furniture, canapés included traditional morsels like minature Boerewors. There was a wow moment when the safari draping was lifted revealing the main event space with giant panoramic screens, showing beautiful imagery of the African landscape. Guests were treated to a delicious three course meal, with South African wines and traditional linens and table placements. The main space was decorated in the style of a the South African townships with corrugated backdrops, hanging festoon lighting and large graphic banners of people who had been helped by Ubuntu. The show consisted of performances by a Sand Animator telling the story of Ubuntu, songs by Britain’s Got Talent winner, Asanda Jezile, live auction and pledge moment, live graffiti artist Pure Evil and a head line performance by Michael Franti & Spearhead (with guest appearance by Sonna Rele). Wonderland produced and managed all elements of the event including styling, branding, catering and run of show.
