Vintage Americana Event

In contrast to the Cool Britannia trend sweeping the nation (and the Wonderland office), our Vintage American candy stall was the star of the show in our stars and stripes deep south themed spectacular aboard London's very own mississippi paddle steamer, the Dixie queen.
Macaroon towers, Mississippi mud cupcakes, lemon meringue cupcakes, jars full of candy, bon bons, candy canes and Hershey kisses filled cut glass jars and balanced on antique weighing scales.
Elsewhere onboard guests flipped a few cards at the casino, snapped some pics in the retro photo booth, ate a New Orleans inspired menu of gumbo and chicken with creamed corn, drank mint julep cocktails, all to a background of pretty white flowers in mint julep vases, US flags and a swinging Dixie jazz band.

I really inspire with arrangement of the event. The whole setting relates to the event specially the interior looks really luxurious. The efforts of event designer is really remarkable as it reflects old and historical American in his efforts result. Every sweet dish in the party represents it's area as they are the specialties of there regions. Red vine is the most favorite drink on American so it also serves in the event.
The Dixie queen looks sumptuously prepared for a luxurious day out. She is gonna make someone a very happy bunny, I'm sure. Just look at the doors and the ceilings. Everything just oozes class and opulence. I love it. Unfortunately the only time i have boarded her is when she was parked by the London bay around 10 years ago. Needless to say that the picture of the ship was rather different than this. These pictures provide a regal picture which i was far from on that day.
